Terms of service

The service

BotSweep (“the app”) is provided by Jev Labs to merchants who install it from the Shopify App Store. By installing the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

Your responsibilities

• You choose which automatic actions BotSweep takes (tagging, unsubscribing, deleting) and remain responsible for the customer records in your store.
• Deletion is permanent. We recommend reviewing results before enabling automatic deletion.
• BotSweep’s decisions are probabilistic and may occasionally be wrong; use the review queue to correct them.

Data processing terms

For personal data of your customers, you are the controller and Jev Labs is your processor. Jev Labs will:

• Process customer personal data only to provide the app’s bot-detection functionality, on your instructions as expressed through the app’s settings.
• Use TypeSafe AI as a sub-processor solely to classify accounts; no other sub-processors receive customer personal data other than our hosting provider (Fly.io).
• Keep personal data confidential, limit access to authorised personnel, and protect it with encryption in transit and at rest.
• Notify you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your store.
• Help you respond to customer data requests, and delete your data when you uninstall the app, as described in the privacy policy.

Availability and liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Jev Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app, including actions you configure the app to take.
